Phoenix Studios Anglesey is a Sound Production Studio involved in the creation of music and sound for film, broadcast and all other platforms.

We compose, arrange, perform, record and produce music for a wide range of projects from our studios based on Anglesey.

The partnership of Shelley Lee Aldred and Stuart Comins are the principle creative team at Phoenix. Shelley and Stuart have worked together, over many years, in a variety of fields and disciplines including film, musical composition, performance, recording, education, teaching, sound engineering and production.

At Phoenix we thrive on diverse opportunities for collaboration with a wide range of professionals working in different disciplines and sharing ideas.

Shelley Lee Aldred

Shelley Lee Aldred, (G Mus, PGCE), is a composer, arranger and performer at Phoenix. She has experience in writing for theatre, radio and live performance mostly gained in private commissions. Shelley is a multi-instrumentalist, a trained pianist, string and woodwind player. and vocalist.

Shelley also works as a freelance teacher of piano, woodwind and composition. Shelley was the Musical Director of Unity Voices, a ladies choir based in Marsden before moving to Anglesey.

Stuart Comins

Stuart has many years of experience in the roles of writer, arranger, performer, producer and sound engineer. He is a guitarist and vocalist.

Aside from his work with Phoenix, Stuart ran Qwax Recording Studio, in Huddersfield, for many years. He worked with many local bands and musicians producing their records.
