Huddersfield and surrounding areas are used to heavy snowfall in the winter but in the winter of 2010 particularly harsh weather affected the region.
Images of Huddersfield residents crossing the road on their hands and knees were broadcast on the national news, as traffic was brought to a standstill and life the Colne Valley came to a standstill. Schools were closed and people were unable to get to work.
A year later Beverley Addy of Addy Media got the funding to make a film using the images and memories of local residents of this momentous time.
Shelley Lee Aldred and Stuart Comins were commissioned to do the soundtrack. Below are a couple of excerpts from the soundtrack of Frozen Valley.
