Opportunity was a musical theatre piece written in collaboration with Elizabeth Gray, from LA, which was sadly never completed.
The book, or Libretto, was set in the wild west of the USA in the mid 19th century in the dusty town of Opportunity. The style of the play was a pastiche melodrama and the story revolved around the usual suspects of a wild west town, The Marshal, The Banker and The Male Lead and Love Interest.

The image above was taken by The Huddersfield Examiner for an article to mark Elizabeth’s working visit to the UK after we had spent 8 months collaborating via Skype, email and dropbox.
As writers, we all contributed to a blog which gives some additional insight into plot and character but perhaps more interestingly into the writing process in all its contortions. The blog can be found at https://theprocessofopportunity.wordpress.com/
Though piece was never finished, it did yield a handful of good songs, some of which can still be appreciated outside the context of the musical itself.
This is the song that those who have heard us perform are most familiar with.
The following are musical files that were sent back and forth as we worked on the music and lyrics and the quality of the performances and recording reflect this.
