Running With Scissors Band is the ‘in house’ band of Phoenix Studios.

Shelley Lee Aldred and Stuart Comins originally came together in the covers band ‘Qwax’ many years ago. As Running With Scissors Band they have produced 2 albums and perform live,

Between them they sing, play guitar, piano, saxophone, bass guitar, recorder, and percussion.

Their genre is hard to pin down as their music is a mix of many styles and would probably be best described as ‘eclectic’.

They have been described as ‘a bit jazz’, ‘a bit prog’ ‘a bit indie’.

They write and perform their own material with a sprinkle of well-chosen covers.

They have recently played at The Ulcheldre Centre, Folk On The Farm, Holyhead Festival, Philfest and private gigs.

Their music is available on all streaming sites and actual copies of CD’s are available through Bandcamp.
